From a climb, separate the silks and hold them about 3 feet apart from one another.

Take your feet off the silks, and push them around, through, and back as far as you can.

Circle them around wide and come back through the silks to the back once more.

Bring your feet together. This position will support you. If you forget to bring your feet together, it's much harder to maintain this position.

Pull up and step your feet back into the slack 'stirrups' to create a footlock.

You can do this one at a time if you wish, which eliminates the need for using your arms so much in a pullup. However, it's somewhat easier to get even footlocks if you do them both at once, and it just looks showier.

Note that these footlocks are somewhat opposite of the traditional figure-8 footlocks. The silk poles will end up outside of your feet rather than on the inside.

To get out, just pull yourself up a bit and push the poles off your feet.
