Aerial Silks:Georgia Twist

The Georgia Twist is one of many ways to transition into a crossback straddle.

From double footlocks or aerial dance footlock, turn towards one of the silks. Flamenco the same hand as the foot that is in front of you (your right hand, if your right foot is in front of you) on the silk behind you.

Put your rear foot forward so that both feet are next to each other, with the pole of the rear foot around your thigh area.

Twist towards your free hand until the silk poles stop your movement. Grab both poles and stretch the legs out in preparation for a crossback straddle.

There is a sitting variation, in which you pause with a bent leg and sit on one of the silks before entering a crossback straddle.
