If you feel comfortable, let your arms slide down the fabric towards your locked foot. This will arch your back more, so be prepared. Also, don't go so low that you can't get out again! Practice near the ground until you get a feel for it, just in case you get stuck.

Stag

(Ship's Lady, Open Silks Step-Through)

From a single foot lock, split the silks and step through, with your arms high above your head. Lean through, letting your arms support you and keeping your locked foot straight.

If you feel comfortable, let your arms slide down the fabric towards your locked foot. This will arch your back more, so be prepared. Also, don't go so low that you can't get out again! Practice near the ground until you get a feel for it, just in case you get stuck.
